1998 Audi TT

For sale is my well maintained Audi TT 1.8T Coupé (8N) in Silver Metallic with black full leather finish. The vehicle is in a technically very good condition and still has TÜV until October 2027.

Purpose: Since the repair or overhaul lasted about a month and I was always dependent on a vehicle, I bought a new car in the meantime. For this reason, the Audi TT is no longer needed and is for sale.

Freshly performed engine overhaul & large service: • Cylinder head completely planned, depressed/tested & valves reground. • New cylinder head seal installed. • New connecting rod bearings / bearing shells renewed. • New toothed belt set including new water pump. • New thermostat installed. • New camshaft sensor. • Oil pan & oil sieve completely cleaned. • New oil sensor / oil pressure switch. • Engine flushing, fresh engine oil & all filters new (oil filter, air filter, fuel filter). • New fan switch / temperature sensor. • New spark plugs.

Note to repairs: The work was carried out privately by a learned KFZ mechanic. There is therefore no workshop bill, but all purchase documents of new parts (partial invoices) as well as detailed photo documentation of repair work are available and can be viewed during the visit.

Known Deficiencies & Optical Notes: • traces of use: according to age (first registration 1998) and running performance, there are normal age-related signs of use (crater/dellen), which is completely normal at age. • Air conditioning: Air conditioning must be filled (cools not currently). On request and at a surcharge, I can refill the air conditioning before handover. • Aluminium alloys: The 19-inch aluminium alloys have optical defects/light brick contacts. • Airbag control lamp: has been illuminated since an interior preparation in which the seats were cleaned/degraded. Probably a plug under the seat loose or the fault memory must be deleted. • Tacho-deviation: The tacho shows approx. 10 km/h less than the actual speed (e.g. Tacho shows 40 km/h with 50 km/h driven – probably due to the 19-inch strapping).

The vehicle runs technically perfect, runs clean and makes a lot of fun driving. A visit is possible after consultation.
