2010 BMW X5 xDrive30d - Facelift und neue Steuerkette

BMW X5 xDrive30d (E70) – 245 HP – EZ 11/2010

After a long time in our possession we now separate ourselves from our loyal and beloved family car.

At the time, we bought the vehicle directly from the first hand at the BMW subsidiary Saarlouis. Thus, the car has been with us in the second hand since. It has always been maintained and mainly used for long distances, holiday trips and family excursions.

Repairs & renewals (last 2 years):

- Motor control chain: completely remade (cost: approx. 3,500 €)

- Gaskets in the engine compartment: completely renewed, thus absolutely no oil loss o.a. *(Note: Since the works are fresh, it smells in the engine compartment still lightly after diesel/assembly – this flies after some driving time of itself.) *

- Injectors: Professionally cleaned and newly sealed

- Particle filter (DPF): Low

- AGR valve & intake bridge: New

- Valve cover: New

- Electric hand brake: Including lines completely new

- Front brakes: New

- Cooling water tank: New

- Lighting machine: New

- Sensors: New

- Wischwasserleitung: New Made

- Optics: bumper new, M-pack outer mirror caps mounted

Tyres purchased 3 years ago: back good; the front tyres are driven by long-distance driving and should be renewed

Honest defects & traces of use:

- Side sill on the right is slightly pressed in

- bumper has been renewed after a parking sample

- Mirror cap left has a small dent

- Interior has normal signs of use, suitable for age and running performance

My personal conclusion:

Through the many repairs and the many money we have invested in recent years, we have basically given the car a second life.

For me, the sale to dealers/export would certainly be the easiest. However, since so much – especially the expensive control chain and the entire gasket/injection – has already been professionally renewed, I am convinced that this X5 can easily drive another 200,000 km and remains a reliable vehicle.
