Our beloved Bobbi is looking for a new home

We separate ourselves from our beloved Bobbi. Due to family growth and the associated low use, we are looking for a new home in which it is appreciated and maintained as with us.

The Ford Transit MK2 was taken directly from the fire department, then re-encrypted and approved as an oldtimer. Thanks to the H-mark, the cost of tax and insurance is only about 250 per year.

During his time at the fire department, the vehicle was used exclusively for the prescribed use and movement journeys and was otherwise protected in the vehicle hall. Thus, despite its age, the bus is in a very good condition and has a comparatively low running performance. Rust is only available to a small extent and the transit was always a reliable companion for us.

The bus is driven by a robust 2.0-liter petrol engine with rear wheel drive and twin tire. The suspension is designed for the original use as a fire truck and also manages steeper climbs without problems. The pleasant travel speed is about 8090 km/h, and about 120 km/h are technically possible.

Camper construction

The extension to the camper started in 2022. The project is already far advanced, but still offers space for individual design.

The complete box structure was insulated on walls and ceiling with 19 mm armaflex, the floor was insulated with polystyrene plates and then laid with laminate in wood optics. Parts of the insulating surfaces were additionally lined with black felt. A vehicle side as well as the ceiling were already covered with white three-layer panels. On the opposite side, a cabinet was planned which can still be implemented according to its own ideas. The tailgate is a rare and practical feature.

In the stern an elevated lying surface was built from OSB panels, suitable for a mattress with dimensions 140 200 cm. Below is a spacious storage space where even a windsurfing board can be found. In addition, a heavy-duty draw is installed for Euroboxes. Suitable sun and darkening mats were created for all windows, which protect both from heat and provide pleasant darkness during sleep.

Electricity

The on-board electrical system has also been extensively expanded. They are:

The solar system reliably charges the second battery and allows several days of self-sufficient camping even in poor weather and when using lighting as well as a small compressor refrigerator.

The TÜV was renewed in April 2026 and is therefore valid until April 2028.

Why we sell

Bobbi was always cared for by us and was mostly parked in the garage. Over the past four years, we have traveled with him and travelled around 3,000 km. Since we cannot use it enough in future due to family growth, we have decided to sell our hearts.
