It is with a heavy heart that I sell my beloved Mazda MX-5 NBFL, which is in very good condition, from 2005.

The MX-5 features the popular 1.8-liter VVT engine with 146 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. The combination of rear-wheel drive, low weight and direct handling ensures the typical MX-5 driving experience.

The vehicle is in excellent and very well maintained condition for its age. The MX-5 is from 3rd hand and currently has about 156.000 km. The second owner drove the vehicle for about 12 years and mostly on long-distance. It was bought by him at 39,434 km.

The complete service history is documented by an extensive folder of invoices. Oil changes were carried out regularly every 10,00015,000 km. The existing bills go back to about 73,000 km.

Recently, a complete service was carried out, including engine, transmission and differential oil. In the case of engine oil, I deliberately chose 5W-50 from SPS Motorsport, as the MX-5 is known for increased oil temperatures in sporty driving style and high outside temperatures.

In addition, brake discs and brake linings were renewed at the rear and brake discs and brake linings at the front a few thousand kilometres ago. Both V-ribbed belts and the air conditioning belt were also replaced. In addition, the two window lift motors were renewed.

In the interior, high-quality oil pressure and temperature indicators of the well-known Japanese brand Greddy were integrated. In this way, the important engine data can be kept in view at any time.

The stainless state of the vehicle is to be emphasized in particular. Since the MX-5 NBFL is known for having rust on the longitudinal beams and sills, appropriate precautions have already been taken here. The side sills have already been repaired and are in a 1A state. The longitudinal members are also in a very good condition. Also on the underside of the vehicle is in good condition. The condition is clearly visible in the photos.

The top is also in very good condition.

Known defects

Small dent on the left fender On the left side of the vehicle, the previous owner had a light parking repeater. It was then painted.

The complete underbody as well as the longitudinal beams and side sills were additionally treated with wax and a black protective spray. As a result, these regions are additionally protected from moisture, road salt and other weathering influences.
