A classic!
The vehicle was registered as 13.11.2003, no longer moved and has been in a heated showroom since then - completed.
The Mini Cooper with 63 hp from 1997 is one of the last classic minis still based on the original construction of 1959. The last copies were built in 2000. The 1997 model combines the traditional charm of the Classic Mini with some modern improvements such as multipoint injection.
Technical data Model: Mini Cooper (Classic Mini) Year of manufacture: 1997 Manufacturer: Rover Group Engine: 1.275 cm3 Power: 63 hp (46 kW) Torque: approx. 95 Nm Fuel supply: multipoint injection (MPI) Drive: front drive Transmission: 4-speed manual Empty weight: about 700–720 kg
Travel services Thanks to the very low weight, the mini feels more lively than the performance suggests. Maximum speed: approx. 145–150 km/h 0–100 km/h: about 12–13 seconds Usage: mostly between 6 and 7.5 litres Super on 100 km
Special features of the 1997 model In 1997, the Classic Mini was technically revised: multipoint injection (MPI) instead of the previous single-point injection Airbag for the driver Belt tensioner Front cooler instead of lateral cooler Improved heating Revised electrics These changes made the mini more suitable for everyday use and helped him to meet stricter exhaust regulations.
Driving sense The Classic Mini offers a unique driving experience: extremely direct steering very small vehicle width – ideal for narrow roads almost "Go-Kart"-like handling tight suspension with lots of feedback surprisingly plenty of space for drivers and passengers despite compact external dimensions
Collective value The last years of construction (1997–2000) are particularly popular today, as they combine the classic look with some more modern technology. Original vehicles with low running performance often achieve significantly higher prices than older, more consumed specimens. The 1997 Mini Cooper is not a car that impresses with comfort or performance. Rather, its appeal lies in the exceptionally direct driving feeling, the timeless design and the simple, characterful technique. Those looking for a classic small car with a lot of personality find one of the most iconic British classics in this model.
