The Porsche 997; the successor of the controversial 996, to which many purists had to get used. The 996 was a regular cultural shock: the first liquid-cooled Porsche 911. Many were also unsatisfied with his “new look”. So Porsche developed a compromise: the 997. A more classic design, but with the (further developed) liquid cooling of the 996. Just because it is more efficient and therefore faster! No matter what you don't see, you don't feel so strong.

For us the 997 is the favorite modern 911. Let's start with the heartpiece: the 3.8-liter suction motor (because it's a S). Even when you start, he'll make you smile. Yes, direct injection is more efficient, but the sound of an indirect injector is simply unmatched! Only the afterburning noise in idle lets us melt enthusiasts! No microfilters for the environmentalists, no loudspeakers in the doors that impel a loud motor boar... Here is pure mechanics – without any deception for the true enthusiast!

Driving itself is a real driving experience. The new 992 makes every average father melt quickly. Straight ahead and through curves – no problem. The 997.1, on the other hand, really demands more from the driver. He's underestimated, he's coming. We from the DTM find this great!

Our copy? Just as you wish. Mostly original lacquer, fully documented and in a very well maintained state. She was always waited by dealers and specialists, always stood in the garage and is now looking forward to giving her new owner a lot of driving pleasure. See you soon?

Simply because it's more efficient, and therefore faster! Something along the lines of: if you don't see it, you don't feel it as much.

For us, the 997 is our favorite modern 911. Let's start with the beating heart: the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter (because it's an S) boxer. As soon as you start it, you'll find yourself smiling. Yes, direct injection into the combustion chamber is more efficient, but the sound of an indirect-injection engine is so much better! The idling afterburn alone makes us, as enthusiasts, happy! No microfilters for the Greta Committee, no speakers in the doors that make you believe the engine is "roaring"... This is purely mechanical, without any deception for the enthusiast!

Driving it is truly driving. The latest 992 can drive any average father almost. Straight ahead and through corners, no problem. The 997.1 really makes you work harder as a driver. Underestimate? She'll bite. We at DTM think that's great too!
