Under the engine hood, the known 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit operates from the 944, which brought a significant performance increase compared to the standard-924. Chassis, brakes and other technical components have also been specially adapted to this drive unit. Basically, this prototype is the decisive link between the classic 924 and the later multi-praised series models 944 and 924S.
