Served 928 S4 from the possession of a collector and regular customer known to us. The decrease according to §23 (oldtimer) was carried out exactly after 30 years, in October 2017.

Even the Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88 (Code M 326 ) is still on board! This 928 has fortunately NOT the mostly faulty and very susceptible tire pressure control. In addition, it is very rarely configured as most Porsche drivers love it, because it has NO sunroof, making more headless! Something else positively distinguishes it, it was ordered without airbags - therefore the problem-free use of the original Nardi steering wheel is possible.

History: In 1987, the Porsche 928 S4 was marketed as successor to the 928 S. The new model further improved the engine and the bodywork. The engine delivered a capacity of 235 kW (320 hp) from 4957 cm3 at 6000/min. According to the main department manager Paul Hensler, who was responsible for drive development, was the V8 engine with four-valve technology already used in 928 S with catalyst. In contrast to this, the new engine was designed for lead-free superbenzin and delivered the same power with and without catalyst. The 928 S4 could be ordered both with five-speed manual transmission and four-speed automatic system. Most of the customers preferred the variant with automatic transmission. Furthermore, the shape of the vehicle was changed and thus the air resistance coefficient (Csub wosupersub) was improved to 0.34. This was achieved by a modified bow with new fog lamps and additional lights, a modified front spoiler with openings for brake ventilation, a redesigned rear part with other luminaires and modified spoiler as well as an underbody cladding. The cooling air control was also newly developed. The flaps moved by servomotors only allowed as much air to flow through the engine compartment as was required for cooling the units and for the air conditioning. This also contributed to the lower air resistance. The 928 S4 achieved better driving performance than the previous models. For acceleration from zero to 100 km/h, the car needed only 5.9 s. The maximum speed was 270 km/h and 265 km/h for vehicles with automatic transmission. In 1988, the 928 S4 was only waiting for minor changes, mainly in interior design. The standard equipment was upgraded by an electronically operating tempomat and a loudspeaker sound package. As additional extras there were raffe leather seat covers, and on request the necessary preparations for installing a C-Net telephone were made. As a result, the 928 S4 was only available with the four-speed automatic system. This was reworked in such a way that, when stopped, no longer was switched down into the first, but only into the second gear.

This S 4 is in the original state. Only the steering wheel was replaced by a high-quality original NARDI Volant.
