Beautiful 944 first hand!

Polish license plates (we live in Swinemünde, is cheaper ;-)

Mileage is original and verifiable!

TÜV passed this year without any problems. The car is registered and insured until the end of the year and is moved regularly!

As always, little things have to be done with old cars, e.g. the brakes should be revised and the tyres are old, but still have a good profile!

Although the body of the 944 was based on that of the 924, it was much more strikingly shaped. In addition, a 2.5-liter in-line four-cylinder engine developed by Porsche itself was used in the 944. This made the 944 a real Porsche in the eyes of customers. This Transaxle model was also produced at Audi in Neckarsulm.

A front spoiler painted in car colour with square rubber buffers as well as much wider, slightly angular fenders lifted the 944 visually clear from the 924. The 2.5 litre engine initially delivered 163 hp; from MJ 86, a catalyst version with 150 hp was available. In the MJ 1988, the Kat engine was tuned to lead-free superfuel, increasing the output to 160 hp. For the last model year (1989), the displacement was increased to 2.7 liters; The performance grew to 165 hp.

944 S (MJ 1987-88) The 944 S was identical to the 944 in body design and equipment. In this model, however, a four-valve motor was used for the first time, which delivered up to 190 hp. Optionally, a badge with the embossing 16 valves behind the side indicators was therefore available.

944 S2 (MJ 1989-1991) In the 1989 model year, the S2 model replaced the 944S. It had the bullier body, the rear diffuser and (from MJ 91) the rear wing of the 944 turbo. The 3.0-liter four-valve engine of the 944 S2 delivered 211 hp and brought the S successor also in terms of performance close to the turbo model. The 944 S2 was also available in a convertible version from the beginning.
