The 944 was developed on the basis of the 924 Carrera, in contrast to the 924, the 44er received from the beginning a 4-cylinder engine developed by Porsche. Typical of this series was the Transaxle system for a more balanced weight distribution (gear is sitting on the rear axle). The S2 convertible was produced only 2 years with a number of only 6980 copies. Our convertible is a German first delivery at Max Moritz in Reutlingen and still had only 3 owners (only 2 because of the same address). He was only moved in summer and was until today a pure beautiful weather vehicle. This probably also explains the very good body condition and the overall very well maintained overall impression of the vehicle. Even the black lacquer coat still shines wonderfully, this is still a predominant first coat. At the beginning of the 90s, the 44 was converted to 968 rear-look at Max Moritz, and he also received matching Max Moritz side sills. Of course you can argue about the reconstruction from today's point of view... it was so... which does not change anything in the good overall state. The interior also shows itself from its best side, beige interior fitting in looks very clean and well maintained. Here you can see the few kilometers the vehicle has run over the decades. The Amaturenbrett has no cracks, the red hands act fresh as on the first day. The black top was refurbished several years ago due to kinks and has been refreshed to date. The 3-liter four-cylinder engine jumps immediately and turns willingly high. By the way... this unit was for the S2 presentation of the largest four-cylinder units in a series car! It is really fun to sweep the car over the country roads, the S2 makes a good figure in every situation of life. Upstairs without driving into a lousy summer night... what do you want more?! The transmission can also be operated exactly and shows no secondary noise. The original board folder included. Checkbook and a thick folder with history and invoices. This convertible is a real opportunity for every fresh air fan and Porsche enthusiast. With its small number of pieces still extremely rare. Driving fun guaranteed...
