At first glance, this vehicle looks like an ordinary, weathered 924 – but the story behind it is anything but ordinary.

* Particularities * Chassis no. 92A0410010 is one of only about ten very early 944-exploratory cars/development vehicles in the 924er-Kleid – real unikate, since almost all were scraped after development. Vehicle certificate confirms the complete 944-drive specification with 120 kW from 7. July 1980 – only 29 days after production on 8th June 1980

Porsche birth certificate confirms "own-use vehicle for Porsche AG" with very low, reserved chassis number – typical for early pre-series vehicles; installed is a very early 2.5-liter engine, #41C 0108

#0010 is a real survivor: tracked and saved by Manfred Freisinger Sr., known for the rescue of the 901 convertible prototype 1967

#0010 still has the original, film-encased coolant container – a heat protection as it was used in the edge-driven hot-running test vehicles – as well as rare options such as Cosmoline dumps and the more powerful 63 Ah battery.

The vehicle requires complete restoration, but according to Classic Data assessments it convinces with solid substance.
