In 1986 Porsche offered its customers the opportunity to purchase a vehicle prepared directly from the factory for the Cup series at Porsche AG.

This 944 Turbo Cup was built in March 1986 and was used by Porsche AG for testing and presentation purposes.

In 1987, the 944 Cup was driven by the Swedish racing driver Steffan Kaiser and sold at the end of the season 1987. The vehicle remained in Sweden until sale at the end of the 2000s and was used in club sports. The current owner rarely drove the 944 Cup on the race track and used it mainly in public transport.

The vehicle is equipped with the original Fox rims available only in the first year of the 944 Turbo Cup (1986).
