Lovers, collectors and other A-model enthusiasts,
I would like to offer you on this path an absolutely rare, unbased catar 4x4 with H permission in very good condition. According to research in the 2CV Forum probably the only vehicle registered in Germany. Number 022 of 245 vehicles built.
To the technology: The Catar 4x4 is a duck-based vehicle with a galvanized steel frame, a glass fiber reinforced polyester body and an all-wheel drive that can be switched on during travel. This is done by means of a modified de-enforcement gear rotated by 180 degrees, which can be coupled to the front gear by means of a cardan shaft and then acts as a rear axle differential. The vehicle floor is completely provided on the factory with so-called screwed slide plates which reliably protect the all-wheel technology from damage. All parts of the Catar 4x4 come from the 2CV, while the motor is from the Visa with 650ccm and 34 HP. This makes the spare part supply absolutely unproblematic. The vehicle is a two-seat pick-up with fabric top over the loading area, whereby the rear wall of the driver's cab is removable, which after removal of the rear cover provides plenty of air and convertible feeling.
The vehicle is technically and optically in a very good condition. Over the last two years, extensive maritime servicing work has been carried out in the field of the engine/gear, the all-wheel drive including general overhaul of the rear transmission, as well as in other technology, so that there is no repair or renovation. The vehicle has an operating hour counter that documents the operating hours in the all-wheel. This only has 38 hours and 35 minutes, which can be regarded as occupied due to the history of the vehicle, as well as the original running performance of 65,000 km, which means that the vehicle has never been moved in the terrain.
History: The company SIFTT from the Auvergne wanted to develop a light, all-wheel-driven vehicle with a manageable “Ententechnik” which is suitable for both forestry and agricultural and military purposes. The catar 4x4 was developed from this claim, which was built a total of 245 times. Due to the setting of the 2 CV production, it was forced to develop other concepts in the early 1990s.
This catar was admitted on November 23, 1987 and handed over to Monsieur Clinis, who used the vehicle for 17 years to sell it to Madame Sauserrau from Volnay at Le Mans, who used the vehicle twice a week to drive to the next village for shopping. The kilometres of the vehicle are original and comprehensible with various documents and French TÜV reports. There is a file folder with invoices and documents since 2004, as well as a folder with technical documents and descriptions about the vehicle, as well as several original brochures.
At the price: The price is negotiation. There is a value assessment with a repurchasing value of €39,000 from 2022, with the current market value likely to be higher due to the extensive work carried out and the associated increase in value. The expert opinion serves the buyer as a reference point in which he should insure the vehicle in order to avoid any loss in the event of damage...
I'm also interested in a change. Corresponding vehicles would be: Mehari HY Ami 8 Super Break DS, DS Break, MB G-Class
If you are serious, you can contact me by phone or by email. We can then arrange a visit with extensive sampling. If all the questions are resolved and the “Chemie is right”, we will surely agree...
I'm looking forward to your call...
