Electric Citroën 2CV – the perfect blend of modern technology and an iconic car from the past

The goal of this project was to modernize the classic car and adapt it to the needs of today’s times and everyday driving.

The 2CV is equipped with a new three-phase electric motor with 15 kW of power (maximum output 30 kW). The battery is a 12 kWh LiFePO4 with 96V voltage. The estimated range with a fully charged battery is about 100 km, making it ideal for city driving. The electric motor and all electrical components are certified, and the vehicle comes with supporting documentation. The complete electric drive system (motor, battery, controller, etc.) is entirely new.

To preserve the authenticity of the classic car, the original gear has been retained, allowing the driver to shift gears like in a “regular” car. However, it is possible to drive without changing gears – in constant transmission. To compensate for the instant torque of the electric motor, the motor has been software-adjusted to gradual increase revolutions, similar to internal combustion engine.

The interior of the 2CV has been fully restored. Many interior parts have been specially designed and handcrafted to make the vehicle unique while retaining its original spirit and charm. The floor is covered with custom carpeting, while the front and rear seats have been reupholstered in new brown leather. The same material was used for covering the inner door panels and handles.

The sun visors are made of acrylic glass, combined with 3D-printed mounts.

Some other original car parts have been replaced, such as the roof, window mechanisms, and more. So, restored color on the car.

The vehicle is currently registered in Croatia and does not have a TÜV. However, all available vehicle documentation is in order, and the buyer can obtain TÜV after importing the vehicle.
