For sale & exchange is a Mini Cooper (R50) from 2002 in the classic and popular color combination red with white roof. The vehicle is still registered, is driven daily and can be visited as well as rehearsal after prior consultation.

Condition

The engine runs clean and reliable. The vehicle is currently being driven in everyday life and even longer distances are easily possible. The typical direct and sporty mini ride is still present and is fun.

The vehicle is in a good and ready-to-use condition. Nevertheless, I would like to mention the known shortcomings openly and honestly:

Known defects

Noise at the front axle/spring leg area:

When the vehicle is in position and the steering is turned completely to the left or to the right, noises from the region of the front axle or of the spring legs are to be heard. The vehicle drives and steers normally, but the noises should be checked on occasion.

Panorama roof / sliding roof:

Sliding roof unfortunately does not work. However, the vehicle is completely closed and dense, so that access to the interior is not possible and there is no water entry after my knowledge. It is probably a smaller setting or a mechanical defect, which should be able to be eliminated with a manageable effort.

ABS:

The ABS system currently has a malfunction and is without function. Probably it's with control unit. A repair was not carried out by me.

Transmission:

A gear maintenance would be recommended. Occasionally, when inserting the reverse gear, a second or third time must be attempted until the gear is cleanly engaged.

Steering / suspension:

The vehicle moves slightly to the right or left. Nothing dramatic and easy to move in everyday life, but an axle measurement or Track adjustment (red/balanced) recommended.

Conclusion

If you are looking for an honest Mini Cooper with a valid TÜV until 06/2027 and are ready to do these points gradually, you get a charming classic with a lot of driving fun. The vehicle is currently used daily and performs its service reliably.
