2002 Seat SEAT Leon Cupra R 1M AMK | KW V2 | LSD Doors

For sale is my SEAT Leon Cupra R 1M, first registration 06/2002, with the well-known 1.8T AMK engine and 154 kW / 209 hp.

The Cupra has been in my possession for about 8 years and has been driven by me less than 20,000 km throughout this period. It is used as a seasonal and leisure vehicle, regularly moved and maintained accordingly.

Engine history / extensive renewal at 169.355 km

An important point in running performance is the history of the engine.

At a mileage of 169,355 km, the Cupra was in a workshop for maintenance. In the course of this maintenance, the workshop underwent an error, whereby the toothed belt jumped over and a motor damage occurred.

As a result of this workshop error, extensive work was carried out on the engine. Among other things, engine block, cylinder head, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, water pump, toothed belt and tension roller were renewed.

The works at that time are documented by corresponding invoices and documents.

Since this extensive renewal, only about 77,000 km have been covered.

The total running power of the vehicle is of course about 246,400 km. With regard to the engine, however, it should be taken into account that numerous essential components have only run around 77,000 km since their renewal.

Maintenance & handling of the vehicle

The Cupra has been in my possession for about 8 years. During this time I travelled less than 20,000 km with the vehicle.

An older checkbook is available, but has not been continued throughout. Since I myself come from the motor vehicle sector, I carried out maintenance and service work mainly during my own time.

The engine oil was not saved. I usually carried out the oil change twice a year, last 2026.

Of course, I also liked the Cupra to be moved quickly and athletic. At the same time, a sensible and material-friendly handling was always important to me. The engine was accordingly warmed and not constantly moved from me to the speed limiter or unnecessarily tolerated.

Conversions

The Cupra has been built individually over the years and includes:

* KW variant 2 threaded suspension * 19-inch Brock rims * LSD Doors / Wing Doors * open sports air filter * JE Design exhaust system

The corresponding modifications are removed/registered or have the necessary authorisation. The combination of open air filter and JE Design exhaust system was also removed accordingly.

Condition

For his age, the Cupra is in my opinion in a beautiful and well maintained overall state.

Rost is not known to me at the moment.

Of course, there are signs of wear for a vehicle from 2002 with corresponding overall running performance. In particular, the front has got stone chips and corresponding paint traces over the years and by motorway rides. Mainly affected are engine hood, front bumper and front fenders.

For an optically perfect condition, these areas could be painted or prepared in the future. I deliberately refused to present a freshly painted front right before sale.

Sale

The vehicle is not a garage vehicle that has been parked for years, but is still regularly moved by me. Due to the use as a seasonal and leisure vehicle only a few kilometers come together, but the Cupra is driven and not just permanently turned off.

The sale is not for financial reasons and is expressly not an emergency sale. I therefore do not need to leave the vehicle as soon as possible. I think it is more important to find a serious interested person who appreciates a real Cupra R and the work invested in it.

The combination of AMK engine, extensively documented engine work, only about 77,000 km since these works, long-term ownership and the registered remodeling makes the vehicle interesting for lovers of Leon 1M.

It is, of course, an over 20-year-old vehicle and not a new car. For this reason, an honest and comprehensible description is more important than existing traces of use.

Price negotiations are possible in a reasonable framework after sightseeing on site.

The vehicle is approved with a seasonal identifier. Therefore, sampling on public roads outside the period of authorisation is only possible with a corresponding mark.
